I'm constantly pulled between two looks.
ON ONE SIDE // The designer in me, wants to only dress in black with clean lines and angles.
ON MY OTHER SIDE // The artist in me, wants to dress in bold colors, mix & matching patterns and textures.
I don't know which side will win, and right now, I'm actually wondering what my style REALLY is?
Do you ever feel like that?

Awesome post ! haha
ReplyDeleteyou can choose the style depending of your daily mood ;)
Happy weekend !!
Ah fab post - I often find myself wearing such colourful and patterned things I look like a children's TV presenter from the 80s, yet the next day my look can be minimal, paired back, even go as far to say chic?
ReplyDeleteWear what you wear :) - even though I'd genericly describe my day to day style as '60s throwback' I don't stick to it rigidly, how boring would that make things?

I love this. I was wanting to do something like this on my blog, but your idea nails it on the head. As a designer and an artist I totally get what you're feeling.
ReplyDeletei do mainly all solid boring neutral and then an occasional art day explosion.
ReplyDeleteI think that's really cool. Who needs one style to define them anyway! Being a designer you get to have your hands in the art & design world, which is awesome!
ReplyDeleteTotally been feeling the pull from both sides as well!! Sometimes I love having such a strong balance between left and right brain, but not always!
ReplyDeleteI want to do this as a shoot!
ReplyDeleteoh my god! this totally hits home, glad to know I'm not the only one who feels this way. There are days I see pictures of Scandinavian design and long to minimize my life, wear neutrals and accessorize simply. Then there are days I pick up a kate spade catalog and all I wanna do is wear color and mix patterns. I've often wondered if I know my style as well.
ReplyDeleteOh girl, you should of SEEN my 'define my style' post. It was only written two weeks ago (you know for the new year) but I look back on it now and I'm still all mixed up in a Jekyll/Hyde state! I love the architectural elements some clothing but I also love the boldness and just plain 'FUN' of some others!
ReplyDeleteI love the blog, it's fabulous! You're definitely on my daily reading list!
Thanks Nati! I'm loving your blog too--
Deletethose jeffrey campbell wedges are amazing-- you must wear them more :)
Thanks again for stopping by-- I'm excited to play around with the two sides more this year!
